Brothers Ronan and Conor McGarvey pestered their dad for a lathe…and became quite possibly the youngest entrepreneurs in Ireland. Still in school, these teens from Donegal began turning wood in their backyard shed to create pens to sell in local shops. A 2013 appearance on Ireland’s Junior Dragon’s Den (A “Shark Tank” for kids.) boosted their profile--and profits—giving them a worldwide customer base. Each pen is individually turned, polished, waxed, and carefully examined to ensure a high quality.
